Fellow Opponaut Brian Silvestro got me thinking, if I had lots of the moneyz, this would be a tough decision. Just a dream situation of course :]
Jaguar F-Type R VS Porsche 911 Carrera S
yes, you can sub for something else in the same price range
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:39 |

F-Type please. Just for the soundtrack
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:39 |

Have you seen that ass?
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:40 |

Hi there.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:40 |
|
yes, and its awesome..... like on ze Porsche :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:41 |
|
no debate. Sorry. F-Type.
Im not much of a 911 fan though.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:41 |

that is very very good argument, can't deny that :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:42 |

The Porsche does look really good from those pictures, the Jag just wins me over thanks to it's absurd power and sound.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:45 |
|
I'll take a very lightly used one of these.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:47 |

in looking for a counter offer, I noticed that if you put Tesla Model S or Tesla Model S Price on Google, the first thing that comes up is a link to the Cadillac ELR lol
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:48 |
|
seems to be the consensus, dat sound :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:48 |

true
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:49 |
|
And I'm sure GM paid handsomely for that, too.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:52 |
|
first thing that came to mind also lol.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 17:59 |
|
a lightly used AMV8 vantage? you could get 2 for that price.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:02 |
|
I would get one of these and a GT86....
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:07 |

'Murica.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:13 |
|
What would you do with the other $45K? Me? I'd buy this:
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:17 |
|
Who says it has to be only 1 car? If I had a silly sports car, I'd need something to drive in Wisconsin winter. So for me,
+
Otherwise for half that $99k there's the cars I actually have right now...
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:36 |
|
whoops, that was for Corey CC97 :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:41 |
|
well of course fine sir, i'd also rather have a beast camed, head, intake, exhaust all black C6 Z06 over these fancy toys for the $99,000, but this all came to my head from an earlier comment. Just pretending if I were in the market between these two beauties, it would be/still is a difficult choice.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:42 |
|
oh god yes, but $99,000 was the only term, wait til the Zed Oh 6/7 comes back to slay some import ass then we'll see :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:43 |
|
very very VERY!!!! well played sir :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:43 |
|
Well you did say "yes, you can sub for something else in the same price range" ;)
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:46 |
|
yes sir, and you chose some awesome machines, especially for your climate :] Still, what would you go for between those two "more money than brains" beauties?
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:50 |
|
Yup. The C7 Zo6 should slide in nicely just below 100k
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:55 |

The Jaaaaaaag has an extra 95 hp and looks way better.
Ze Porsche weighs 600+ lbs less and comes with a proper manual transmission.
So I'm torn. The part of me that thinks purely about performance (and places handling at the top of the list) would probably pick the Carrera S. But the Jag looks fantastic.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 19:11 |
|
100% the same thing i was thinking. I guess the noise of the Jaaaag could be the tie breaker
![]() 12/03/2013 at 19:28 |
|
F-Type all day.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 21:11 |
|
After seeing an F-Type Coupe, the 991, the C7, the Viper, the GT-R, yadda yadda at the LA Auto Show..
F-Type R Coupe all day. Firesand Orange, black wheels, black leather with contrasting firesand orange stitching. All the faps.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 21:58 |
|
Seems to be the general consensus. I work across a Jaaaag dealer and those F-Type haulass all the time outside my window. Giving the results of this poll, Jag R Coupe is the winner if ever faced with such a make believe scenario lol. Thanks dudes :]
![]() 12/03/2013 at 23:48 |
|
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. The Jaaaaaaaaaag looks so much better but I long for a Porsche. Therefore, Morgan 3Wheeler.

with $99,000? Oh man, lemme see...
1) Stock Golf R $35,000. Need something to daily, so a golf works fine. AWD for snow and rain. added $3,000 to price for an APR chip, and some snow wheels
2) Audi Allroad w/ 6 speed manual. ~$15,000. Car would be ~$8,000 to buy, and the rest goes to mods, like a working air suspension system, bigger turbos, brakes etc. in the 450-460 hp region.
3) savings!!!
![]() 12/04/2013 at 09:35 |
|
oh yes of course buddy, you had me at All Road!!!! the Golf I can give to my fiance or little sister :] Yet, given this imaginary circumstance, would you choose the Jaaaag or ze 911?
![]() 12/04/2013 at 15:42 |
|
Jag, no two ways about it.
If looks could kill, The Jaaaaag would be Freddy Cruger's Psychopathic cousin.
![]() 12/04/2013 at 21:50 |

zr1?
![]() 12/05/2013 at 07:15 |
|
Whoa! Forgot that was going to be a thing. Good choice!
![]() 12/05/2013 at 09:48 |
|
By the time its released, any bugs (*ahem* exposed fasteners) will be ironed out, and that will be one HELL of a car
![]() 12/05/2013 at 10:09 |
|
Agreed, those exposed fasteners are definitely a deal breaker right now.
![]() 12/06/2013 at 14:34 |
|
Of those two, Jag.
Of anything else, C7 and $40K-$50K in savings.
![]() 12/07/2013 at 16:07 |

I was thinking exactly this...you beat me to it.
